Ingredients

Instructions
 

  • 1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water and active dry yeast in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.
  • 3. Add olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir. Pour this into the flour mixture.
  • 4. Mix until a rough dough forms.
  • 5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • 6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • 7. Punch down the dough and flatten it slightly.
  • 8. Add shredded cheese, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and herbs to the dough. Fold to incorporate.
  • 9. Shape the dough into a loaf or rolls and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • 10. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.
  • 11. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • 12. Make shallow slashes on top of the dough and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • 13. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • 14. Serve warm and enjoy!
