Instructions
Gather all your ingredients and measure them out.
Prepare the slow cooker by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray.
Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple chunks, BBQ sauce, chopped red onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are completely covered.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Check the chicken for tenderness during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Shred the chicken in the slow cooker using two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
