Instructions
 

  • Wash the Russet potatoes thoroughly under cold running water and scrub the skins gently.
  • Pat the potatoes dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  • Use a fork to prick several holes in each potato to allow steam to escape.
  • In a bowl, combine the olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  • Rub the seasoning mixture all over each potato.
  • Place the seasoned potatoes in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  • Check for doneness by inserting a fork or knife into the center of a potato.
  • Carefully remove the potatoes from the slow cooker using tongs and allow to cool slightly before serving.
  • Slice each potato open lengthwise, fluff the insides with a fork, and add your choice of toppings.
