Instructions
Gather all ingredients and tools, including a mixing bowl, rolling pin, and a clean surface for kneading.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Whisk together.
In a separate bowl, crack open 2 large eggs and beat them lightly.
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the beaten eggs. Gradually incorporate the flour into the eggs.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into four portions, roll out each portion to about 1/8 inch thick, and cut into desired shapes.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the noodles, and cook for 3-5 minutes.
Drain the noodles in a colander and rinse briefly under cold water if not serving immediately.
Your Simple Homemade Egg Noodles are now ready to be served!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can freeze the noodles after cutting them to prevent sticking.
