  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Softened to room temperature.
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar Essential for sweetness and structure.
  • 2-4 tablespoons Milk Use full-fat for richer frosting.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Flavoring Enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Balances the sweetness.

Instructions
 

  • Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature, especially the unsalted butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the softened unsalted butter and beat on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until creamy.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud.
  • Once all the sugar is incorporated, increase the speed to medium and beat for another 2-3 minutes until fluffy.
  • Pour in the vanilla flavoring and mix on low speed until fully incorporated.
  • Add the milk one tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Add a pinch of salt and mix on low speed until fully integrated.
  • Taste the frosting and adjust sweetness or flavoring as necessary.
  • Use immediately to frost cupcakes or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Rewhip before using.
