Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Flank Steak Lean cut of beef, known for its rich flavor.
  • 7 ounces Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce Finely chopped for even flavor distribution.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced for aromatic qualities.
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice Freshly squeezed to brighten flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Ground for earthy flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil Helps marinade adhere and adds richness.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground, adjust to taste.

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chipotle peppers, minced garlic, lime juice, cumin, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  • Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the steak is fully coated. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally 4 to 6 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the flank steak from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Discard the used marinade.
  • Grill the steak for about 6 to 8 minutes on each side, until the internal temperature reaches 130 to 135 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare.
  • Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice against the grain into thin strips and serve.

Notes

For variations, consider adding spices like smoked paprika or fresh herbs to the marinade. Serve with tacos, salads, or roasted vegetables.
