  • 2 cans Canned Tuna Packed in water or olive oil, drained well.
  • 1 unit Avocado Ripe, diced into small pieces.
  • 0.25 cup Red Onion Finely chopped.
  • 0.5 cup Celery Diced.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • to taste Pepper Freshly cracked.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs Optional, finely chopped (parsley or cilantro).

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients on a clean countertop. Ensure canned tuna is well drained.
  • Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash slightly, leaving some chunks.
  • Add the drained canned tuna to the bowl with the avocado and gently fold to combine.
  • Finely chop the red onion and add it to the mixture.
  • Dice the celery and incorporate it into the bowl.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper, adjusting to taste.
  • If desired, add fresh herbs and gently fold all ingredients together.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Stir gently before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
