Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into thin strips for quick cooking.

Vegetables

  • 1 Red bell pepper Sliced into thin strips.
  • 1 Yellow bell pepper Sliced into thin strips.
  • 1 Green bell pepper Sliced into thin strips.
  • 1 Medium onion Preferably yellow, sliced into thin strips.

Seasonings

  • 2 tablespoons Fajita seasoning Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For marinating and sautéing.
  • 1 lime Lime juice For marinating the chicken.

Tortillas

  • 8 small Flour or corn tortillas For serving.

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Instructions
 

  • Slice the chicken into thin strips and place in a mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix fajita seasoning, lime juice, and olive oil. Pour over chicken and marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  • Prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell peppers and onion into thin strips.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  • Add the sliced onion and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté until vegetables are tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
  • Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  • Serve the chicken and vegetable mixture in tortillas with desired toppings.

Notes

For variations, consider adding jalapeños for spice or using shrimp instead of chicken.
