  • 4-6 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 0.5 cups Unsalted butter Melted for brushing.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley Finely chopped, optional for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • 1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix well.
  • 3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  • 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  • 6. Punch down the dough and roll it out to ½ inch thick.
  • 7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Melt butter in a saucepan, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  • 8. Brush half of the garlic butter over the dough, cut into strips, and twist if desired.
  • 9. Place on a baking sheet, brush with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with parsley.
  • 10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month.
