Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix well.
3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
6. Punch down the dough and roll it out to ½ inch thick.
7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Melt butter in a saucepan, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant.
8. Brush half of the garlic butter over the dough, cut into strips, and twist if desired.
9. Place on a baking sheet, brush with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with parsley.
10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
