  • 1 can (14 ounces) Sweetened condensed milk Adds sweetness and creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter Adds richness and depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract Enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1 cup Optional mix-ins (nuts, dried fruits, etc.) Customize to your preference.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools: a medium-sized saucepan, a mixing bowl, a spatula, and an 8x8-inch square baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  • In the medium-sized saucepan, add the chocolate chips and butter. Place over low heat, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes until melted.
  • Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and stir until well combined and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • If using optional mix-ins, fold them into the mixture now.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for 2-3 hours until firm.
  • Once set, lift out of the baking dish and cut into squares.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
