  • 2 cups Pre-made Pie Crusts Use high-quality, refrigerated pie crusts.
  • 4 medium Apples Peeled, cored, and sliced thinly. Mix of sweet and tart varieties recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Ground cinnamon for flavor.
  • 0.5 cup Brown Sugar Enhances sweetness and adds moisture.
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar For balancing flavors and topping.
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg Adds complexity to the flavor.
  • 1 pinch Salt Enhances sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Melted, for richness.
  • 1 large Egg Beaten, for egg wash.
  • 1 tablespoon Water To mix with egg for egg wash.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the pre-made pie crusts onto a floured surface and roll slightly to flatten.
  • Cut out circles from the pie crust, about 4-5 inches in diameter.
  • Grease a muffin tin and press each pie crust circle into the cavities.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss to coat.
  • Fill each pie crust with the apple mixture, leaving some room at the top.
  • Drizzle melted butter over each filled pie.
  • Fold the edges of the pie crust over the filling and crimp if desired.
  • Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

These mini pies can be served with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
