  • 1 package Graham Crackers Approximately 14 full sheets.
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Around 2 sticks.
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Packed.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Semi-sweet or milk chocolate.
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts Optional, such as almonds or pecans.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the packed brown sugar to the melted butter and stir continuously until it begins to boil. Allow it to boil for 3 to 4 minutes without stirring.
  • Carefully pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the graham crackers.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 to 7 minutes until the toffee bubbles and puffs slightly.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
  • Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee layer.
  • If using, sprinkle chopped nuts over the melted chocolate.
  • Allow to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set.
  • Lift the parchment paper to remove the toffee and cut into squares or rectangles.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
