Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef Preferably lean.
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese Mozzarella or cheddar, or a mix.
  • 8 slices Bread Whole wheat or white.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Softened.

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 cup Finely Chopped Bell Peppers or Onions Optional for added flavor.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
  • 2. Drain excess fat, return to heat, and add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir for 2 minutes.
  • 3. If using, add chopped bell peppers or onions and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until tender.
  • 4. Stir in shredded cheese until melted, then remove from heat.
  • 5. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. On the non-buttered side of 4 slices, spoon the beef and cheese mixture.
  • 6. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side out, to form sandwiches.
  • 7. Grill sandwiches in the skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown, pressing down gently.
  • 8. Flip and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until the other side is golden and cheese is melted.
  • 9. Remove from skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Consider adding different vegetables or cheese varieties for variations. Serve with salad or soup for a complete meal.
