  • 1 lb Ground Beef Lean mix (90/10) preferred.
  • 2 large Onions Yellow or sweet onions, sliced thinly.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Cheese Swiss or Gruyère.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Fresh Thyme
  • 2 tbsp Butter For sautéing onions and garlic.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and cook for 10-15 minutes until caramelized.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • Add the seasoned beef to the skillet and brown for 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in beef broth and heavy cream, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
  • Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
