Ingredients
  

Meat Filling

  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Turkey Provides a rich and hearty base for the filling.
  • 1 cup Sloppy Joe Sauce Brings sweetness and tanginess to the dish.
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas Should be soft and pliable.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or Monterey Jack works well.
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped Adds sharp yet sweet flavor.
  • 1 small Bell Pepper, diced Adds color and sweetness.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Provides robust flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Used for sautéing the vegetables and meat.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper For seasoning the filling.

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Allow it to warm for about 1 minute.
  • Add chopped onion and diced bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  • Add ground meat to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Pour in the sloppy Joe sauce and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
  • Prepare tortillas by laying them out on a clean surface. Warm if necessary.
  • Remove filling from heat and fold in shredded cheese until melted.
  • Spoon filling onto the center of each tortilla and roll them up tightly.
  • Grill the burritos seam-side down in the skillet for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and grill the other side.
  • Remove from skillet, let rest for a minute, then slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

These burritos can be customized with different meats or sauces. Serve with fresh herbs or sour cream for added flavor.
