Instructions
1. Activate the yeast by combining warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit until frothy.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center.
3. Pour the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg into the well. Mix until a soft dough forms.
4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
6. Prepare the caramel topping by melting butter and mixing with brown sugar and pecans.
7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter over it.
8. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the buttered dough.
9. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish with the caramel mixture.
11. Arrange the rolls in the dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
12. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
13. Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving platter.
