Instructions
 

  • 1. Activate the yeast by combining warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit until frothy.
  • 2. In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center.
  • 3. Pour the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg into the well. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • 6. Prepare the caramel topping by melting butter and mixing with brown sugar and pecans.
  • 7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter over it.
  • 8. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the buttered dough.
  • 9. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  • 10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish with the caramel mixture.
  • 11. Arrange the rolls in the dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • 12. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • 13. Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving platter.
  • 14. Serve warm and enjoy!
