Instructions

  • In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and oil until smooth.
  • Gradually add buttermilk to the egg mixture, whisking until combined.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold gently until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Dust with powdered sugar or frost as desired before serving.
