Ingredients
  

Wonton wrappers

  • 20-25 pieces Wonton wrappers Thin, square sheets made from flour, water, and egg.

Apples

  • 2 medium Apples Peeled, cored, and diced. Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended.

Caramel sauce

  • 0.5 cup Caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade.

Cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon Enhances the flavors of the apples and caramel.

Brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons Packed brown sugar Adds sweetness and a hint of molasses flavor.

Cooking spray

  • as needed Cooking spray Non-stick spray for air fryer.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, caramel sauce, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir well to ensure the apples are evenly coated with the sweet mixture. Set aside.
  • Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean surface in a diamond shape with one corner facing you.
  • Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple-caramel mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water to help seal them.
  • Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling to the top corner, forming a triangle shape. Press edges firmly to seal.
  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange wontons in a single layer.
  • Lightly spray the tops of the wontons with cooking spray and cook for 8-10 minutes, checking for golden-brown perfection.
  • Remove wontons from the air fryer and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, drizzled with caramel sauce or with a scoop of ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
