  • 1 pound Ground Beef Can substitute with ground turkey.
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs Use fresh or dried bread crumbs.
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binding agent.
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped Sauté before mixing for better flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Adds robust flavor.
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup Adds sweetness and moisture.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Enhances umami flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Essential for flavor enhancement.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped Adds freshness and color.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Once the onion is softened, add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, sautéed onion and garlic, bread crumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  • Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
  • Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the meatloaf and serve warm.

For variations, consider adding vegetables, cheese, or different herbs to customize the flavor.
