Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Once the onion is softened, add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, sautéed onion and garlic, bread crumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Slice the meatloaf and serve warm.
