Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 1 pound Chicken Breast Boneless, skinless, thinly sliced.

Noodles

  • 8 ounces Chow Mein Noodles Cooked according to package instructions.

Vegetables

  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Julienned.
  • 1 cup Carrots Julienned.
  • 1/2 cup Green Onions Chopped.

Aromatics

  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Minced.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Mixed with 2 tablespoons of water.

Seasonings

  • Salt and Pepper To taste.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced chicken breast and cook for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for 30 seconds.
  • Add bell peppers and carrots, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine.
  • Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring to coat.
  • Mix cornstarch with water and pour into the skillet while stirring.
  • Add cooked chow mein noodles and toss gently to combine.
  • Sprinkle chopped green onions over the chow mein and toss again.
  • Let the chow mein sit for a minute before serving.
  • Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider using tofu for a vegetarian option or adding different vegetables.
