Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 1 pound Ground Chicken or Turkey Lean alternative to traditional beef.

Vegetables

  • 2 medium Bell Peppers One red and one green, diced finely.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.

Sauces

  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Rich, tangy base.
  • 1 cup Sloppy Joe Sauce Sweet and tangy.

Pasta

  • 2 cups Uncooked Pasta Elbow macaroni or rotini.

Cheese

  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese For creaminess and richness.

Oils

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For sautéing.

Seasonings

  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  • Add diced bell peppers and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Increase heat to medium-high and add ground chicken or turkey. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and Sloppy Joe sauce, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add uncooked pasta and enough water to cover it (about 2-3 cups). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Once pasta is tender, stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle additional cheese on top, and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider adding different vegetables or using different types of cheese. This dish can also be made vegetarian by substituting meat with lentils or beans.
