  • 1 pound Ground Beef Opt for lean ground beef to reduce fat.
  • 2 cups Green Beans Fresh or frozen green beans can be used.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Sliced.
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup About 10.5 ounces.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil For sautéing.

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Paprika or Italian Seasoning Add according to preference.

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add olive oil and sauté the chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Brown for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Incorporate sliced mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, mixing well with the meat and vegetables.
  • Add green beans and stir to combine.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and any additional spices to taste.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the pot with a lid.
  • Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove lid and check consistency. Cook uncovered for an additional 5 minutes if thicker consistency is desired.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
