Instructions
 

  • Warm 1 cup of milk in a saucepan until it reaches about 110°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine yeast and sugar, then pour warm milk over it and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  • Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg to the flour mixture and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, and shape into balls.
  • Arrange the balls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush with melted butter and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
