Ingredients Group Label

  • 1 pound Fresh Strawberries Hulled and sliced in half or quarters.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream For the creamy sauce.
  • 2-4 tablespoons Granulated Sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Orange Juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 1 unit Zest of an Orange Finely grated.
  • a few sprigs Mint Leaves For garnish.

Instructions

  • Begin by selecting ripe, fresh strawberries. Rinse them gently under cold water, hull the strawberries, and slice them in half or quarters. Place them in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of granulated sugar over the sliced strawberries and gently toss to coat. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes to draw out their natural juices.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream. Whip the cream on medium speed, gradually adding 2-4 tablespoons of granulated sugar until soft peaks form.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed orange juice and the zest of one orange to the whipped cream, and gently fold to combine.
  • Fold the macerated strawberries and their juices into the whipped cream mixture, being careful not to break down the strawberries.
  • Transfer the mixture into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve chilled.
