  • 6-8 medium Apples Peeled, cored, and chopped.
  • 1 cup Water To help cook the apples down.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Adds warmth and depth.
  • 2 tablespoons Sweetener (optional) Honey or maple syrup, adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional) For added flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Wash the apples thoroughly under cold water.
  • Peeled, core, and chop the apples into small chunks.
  • In a large pot, combine the chopped apples with 1 cup of water.
  • Place the pot over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • After 10-15 minutes, add cinnamon and any optional sweetener or vanilla.
  • Continue to cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until apples are soft.
  • Remove from heat and puree the mixture with an immersion blender.
  • Allow to cool slightly before transferring to jars or containers.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
