Instructions
1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix well.
3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture. Add olive oil and minced garlic. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5. Shape the dough into a ball, place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
6. Punch down the dough, roll it out into a rectangle, and cut into strips.
7. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
8. Twist each strip and place on the baking sheet, leaving space between them.
9. Let rise again for 20-30 minutes, then brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic and parsley.
10. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
11. Let cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
