Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about ½ inch.
Set up a breading station: flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan in a third.
Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the breaded chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and pour marinara sauce over each piece.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
