Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and remaining sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then gradually incorporate the milk.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  • Prepare the streusel topping by mixing brown sugar, oats, and nuts with softened butter until crumbly.
  • Pour the apple batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle the streusel topping over it.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
