Husk the corn on the cob and remove all silk strands. Rinse the corn under cold water to clean it thoroughly.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, freshly squeezed lemon juice, finely chopped dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully blended.
Take a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil, about 12 inches long. Place one ear of corn in the center of the foil sheet. Spread the zesty lemon dill butter over the entire ear of corn.
Fold the sides of the foil over the corn and roll up the ends to create a sealed packet.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the foil packets directly on the grill grates and grill for about 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through.
Carefully remove the foil packets from the grill using tongs. Open the packets and check the corn for doneness.
Serve immediately, garnishing with additional fresh dill or a sprinkle of lemon zest if desired.
