Instructions
Begin by preparing the chicken. Rinse the chicken under cold water, then pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces.
In a medium bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned chicken. Sauté for about 5 to 7 minutes until golden-brown and cooked through.
If using homemade tostada shells, heat oil in a separate skillet and fry corn tortillas until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and warm the tostada shells briefly in the same skillet.
Assemble the tostadas by placing a warm shell on a plate, adding a portion of chicken, followed by lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado slices.
Sprinkle cilantro over the assembled tostadas and serve with lime wedges.
