Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Cut into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.

Tostada Shells

  • 8-10 pieces Tostada Shells Store-bought or homemade.

Cooking Oil

  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil For cooking the chicken.

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • to taste Salt

Fresh Vegetables

  • 1 cup Chopped Romaine Lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Sliced Avocado

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro Optional but recommended.
  • 1 piece Lime Cut into wedges for serving.

Instructions
 

  • Begin by preparing the chicken. Rinse the chicken under cold water, then pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned chicken. Sauté for about 5 to 7 minutes until golden-brown and cooked through.
  • If using homemade tostada shells, heat oil in a separate skillet and fry corn tortillas until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and warm the tostada shells briefly in the same skillet.
  • Assemble the tostadas by placing a warm shell on a plate, adding a portion of chicken, followed by lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado slices.
  • Sprinkle cilantro over the assembled tostadas and serve with lime wedges.
