  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Optional herbs and spices Consider thyme, parsley, or sage for additional flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Prepare a clean surface and lightly flour it.
  • Roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thickness and cut into rectangles.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sausage meat with salt, black pepper, and optional herbs/spices.
  • Place sausage filling along one edge of each pastry rectangle and roll it up.
  • Seal the edges with beaten egg and cut into smaller pieces if desired.
  • Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds if using.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
