Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare a cupcake tin by lining it with paper cupcake liners.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
  • Cream together butter and sugar mixture until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  • Pour in milk and vanilla flavoring. Mix on low speed until just combined.
  • Fold in dry ingredients gradually until just combined; a few lumps are okay.
  • Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Decorate with frosting or enjoy plain.
