Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare a cupcake tin by lining it with paper cupcake liners.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
Cream together butter and sugar mixture until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
Pour in milk and vanilla flavoring. Mix on low speed until just combined.
Fold in dry ingredients gradually until just combined; a few lumps are okay.
Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
