Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a large baking dish with butter.
Peel and slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
In a medium bowl, mix the heavy cream, ranch dressing mix, salt, and pepper.
Layer the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish, sprinkling cheese and pouring cream mixture between layers.
Dot the top layer with small pieces of butter.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Serve warm and enjoy!
