Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
Reduce heat to low, add heavy cream, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti with the creamy sauce, ensuring it's well coated.
Mix in 1.5 cups of shredded cheese, reserving 0.5 cups for topping.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine reserved cheese and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over the spaghetti.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
