  • 2 pounds Sweet Potatoes Peeled and cut into chunks.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter At room temperature.
  • 0.5 cup Heavy Cream To enhance creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt For seasoning.

Instructions
 

  • Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into uniform chunks (1 to 2 inches).
  • Place the sweet potato chunks in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a teaspoon of salt.
  • Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  • Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot. Let them sit for a minute to release steam.
  • Add the butter and mash the sweet potatoes until smooth.
  • Gradually pour in the heavy cream while mashing until creamy.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish if desired. Serve warm.
