  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

  • 1 cup Flour For dredging.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Seasoned.
  • as needed Vegetable Oil For frying.

Instructions
 

  • Peel the onions and slice off the top and bottom. Remove the inner layers to create rings.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, jalapeños, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Fill each onion ring with the creamy mixture, packing it tightly.
  • Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  • Coat each stuffed onion ring in flour, then dip in eggs, and finally roll in breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the onion rings for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

For variations, consider adding smoked paprika or different cheeses. Serve with various dipping sauces.
