Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 300 grams Pasta of choice Penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti recommended.

Chicken

  • 400 grams Boneless, skinless chicken breast Cut into bite-sized pieces.

Pesto

  • 1 cup Homemade pesto Made from fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil.

Cream

  • 200 milliliters Heavy cream For creamy texture.

Cheese

  • 50 grams Grated Parmesan cheese For garnishing.

Oil

  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil For cooking the chicken.

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt and black pepper For seasoning.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  • 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  • 3. Reduce heat to low, add pesto to the skillet, and stir to coat the chicken. Cook for about 2 minutes.
  • 4. Pour in heavy cream and stir gently until combined. Allow to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  • 5. Drain pasta, reserving a cup of pasta water. Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  • 6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, and serve immediately.

Notes

For variations, consider adding seasonal vegetables, using different proteins, or making it vegan.
