Ingredients
  

Pasta

Shrimp

Sausage

Instructions
 

  • 1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, adding a pinch of salt to the boiling water. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  • 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and sauté for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • 3. In the same pan, add chopped onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • 4. Add shrimp to the pan, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking.
  • 5. Return sausage to the skillet, add drained diced tomatoes, and stir to combine.
  • 6. Pour in heavy cream, stirring well. Simmer for 5 minutes to thicken, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  • 7. Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to distribute flavors.
  • 8. Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat. Heat through for another minute or two.
  • 9. Remove from heat, squeeze lemon juice if desired, and garnish with parsley and Parmesan before serving.
  • 10. Serve hot and enjoy!
