Ingredients
  

Seafood

  • 1 lb Shrimp Fresh or frozen, deveined and thawed if frozen.

Pasta

  • 8 oz Pasta Fettuccine or penne, whole wheat or gluten-free if preferred.

Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp Cajun Seasoning Store-bought or homemade.

Dairy

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth Low-sodium preferred.

Vegetables

  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper Diced (red, green, or yellow).
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing.

Garnish

  • 1 tbsp Parsley Freshly chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and diced bell pepper, sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add shrimp, sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, and cook until shrimp turns pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add pasta, ensuring it's submerged, and cover to cook for 10-12 minutes until al dente.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream, and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, stir in parsley, and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm.

Notes

For variations, consider adding seasonal vegetables or substituting shrimp with chicken. Adjust spice levels to taste.
