  • 2 cups Heavy Cream Cold for better churning.
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Provides additional creaminess.

Instructions
 

  • Rinse and pat dry the blueberries. Set aside a handful for garnishing.
  • Combine blueberries with sugar in a mixing bowl and gently crush. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  • Zest one lemon and squeeze out 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds.
  • Add lemon juice and zest to the blueberry mixture and stir. Let sit for an additional 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, and salt until well blended.
  • Fold the blueberry mixture into the cream mixture gently.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions (about 20-30 minutes).
  • Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  • Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. Serve with reserved blueberries.
