Gather all your ingredients for a smooth cooking process.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Mix until just combined.
Add breadcrumbs and egg to the mixture, mixing gently until fully combined.

Form the mixture into equal-sized patties, about 1 inch thick.
