Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into uniform chunks.
Place the chopped sweet potatoes in a large pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Drain and mash the sweet potatoes in a large mixing bowl.
Add melted butter, brown sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt to the mashed sweet potatoes and mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine pecans, flour, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt for the topping.
Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the pecan topping over the sweet potato layer.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
