  • 4 cups Fresh Strawberries Hulled and sliced, choose ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar Adjust based on the sweetness of strawberries.
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour Acts as a thickening agent for the filling.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed to enhance flavor.
  • 1 each Pie Crust Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter Cut into small pieces, optional for richness.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and transfer it to a 9-inch pie dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries and sugar, tossing to coat.
  • Add flour and lemon juice to the strawberry mixture and stir gently.
  • Pour the strawberry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  • Dot the filling with pieces of butter.
  • Cover with a lattice crust or a solid crust with slits for steam.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes.
  • Allow the pie to cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence.
