Instructions
Line a square baking dish (approximately 8-inch x 8-inch) with parchment paper.
In a large heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt over a pot of simmering water or in the microwave.
Stir in the golden syrup until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, mix together the broken digestive biscuits, chopped mixed nuts, dried apricots, and orange zest.
Fold the dry ingredients into the melted chocolate mixture until evenly coated.
Add a pinch of sea salt and fold it into the mixture.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours until firm.
Once set, lift out of the dish and slice into squares or rectangles.
Notes
This dessert can be made a day or two in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
