Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For the glaze.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 2. Grease a donut pan with cooking spray or oil.
  • 3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • 4. In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • 5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • 6. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  • 7. Fill each cavity of the donut pan about two-thirds full with batter.
  • 8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • 9. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • 10. Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and salt until smooth.
  • 11. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze.
  • 12. Allow the glaze to set before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for freshness. You can freeze them for up to three months.
