Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed Use rotisserie chicken for convenience or grill your own chicken for a fresh, homemade taste.
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing This creamy dressing adds flavor and keeps the filling moist.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Mozzarella melts beautifully, providing a gooey texture.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese The sharpness of cheddar adds depth to the flavor profile.
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped Adds a pop of color and nutrients.
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced Adds a sweet crunch and vibrant color.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Provides a mild onion flavor.
  • 1 package store-bought pizza dough This serves as the base for your Stromboli.
  • 1 egg beaten Used for egg wash to give a golden-brown finish.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds an extra layer of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Enhances the overall taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning the filling.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ranch dressing, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped spinach, diced bell pepper, green onions, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Lightly flour your work surface. Unroll the pizza dough onto the floured surface and stretch it into a rectangle, about 12 inches by 16 inches.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch of border around the edges.
  • Starting from one of the longer edges of the dough, carefully roll the dough over the filling, tucking the filling in as you go to create a tight log. Pinch the edges to seal the Stromboli.
  • Transfer the rolled Stromboli to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg.
  • Using a sharp knife, make several small slits on top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake the Stromboli for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
  • Once baked, let it cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice into generous portions and serve warm.
