  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Forms the base of your dough.
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast Essential for dough rising.

  • ¾ cup warm water Activates the yeast.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Adds richness to the dough.

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Provides gooey texture.
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices Savory element, can substitute with other toppings.
  • ½ cup marinara sauce For serving.

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Whisk until mixed.
  • Gradually add warm water and olive oil. Stir until the dough comes together.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough.
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle and cut into 3-4 inch squares.
  • Place cheese and pepperoni in the center of each square, fold corners to seal.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down.
  • Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning if desired.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  • Let cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Can freeze before or after baking.
