Ingredients
  

Jalapenos

  • 6-8 medium Fresh Jalapenos Sliced in half, seeds removed for milder flavor.

Cheese Filling

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened to room temperature.
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded, preferably freshly shredded.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder High-quality for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Fresh and aromatic for maximum flavor.

Coating

  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs For crispy texture.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin for best taste.

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper Freshly cracked preferred.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Wash and dry the jalapenos, then slice each in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese until well mixed.
  • Add garlic powder and onion powder to the cheese mixture and mix well.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, packing it in well.
  • In a separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with olive oil until evenly coated.
  • Press each filled jalapeno half into the panko breadcrumbs to coat.
  • Place the coated jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until breadcrumbs are golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm with dipping sauces.

Notes

For variations, consider adding smoked paprika or different types of cheese. Serve with ranch or sour cream for dipping.
