Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks for about 6-8 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease.
2. Lower heat to medium-low and add softened cream cheese. Stir until melted and combined.
3. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix over the mixture and stir well.
4. Add shredded cheddar cheese (reserve 1/4 cup) and stir until melted.
5. Stir in chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add hot sauce if desired.
6. Remove from heat and preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
7. Transfer dip to a baking dish and sprinkle reserved cheddar cheese on top.
8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
