Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter with the minced garlic.
Add the salt and freshly ground black pepper to the garlic butter mixture and stir well.
Place the sliced loaf of bread on a baking sheet, cut side up, and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of the buttered bread, and add grated Parmesan if desired.
Optionally, sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the cheese.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
For extra crispiness, turn on the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes of baking.
Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, and slice into servings.
Serve warm alongside your favorite pasta, soup, or salad.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven to regain crispiness.
